Hi Everyone,
So happy this team exists! For the first time in my life (38 years) I learned (the hard way) that I am not invincible and the food I consume matters! I shattered my tibia & fibula while skiing this winter. I am just starting to walk again and still have alot of work before I'm running or playing tennis again. I "thought" I was healthy. I was incredibly active and worked-out 6 days a week. I guess I was healthy on the outside...but not on the inside. My diet consisted of diet coke by the gallons and very little "fresh" food. Four months into my recovery, my surgeon gave me a "building bones diet"....was THAT a BIG WAKE-UP CALL!!!!! I was amazed with how many nutrients our bodies need to grow bones and be truly healthy. I realized I had to change. I sure don't want to jeopardize my future mobility. I have been "eating clean" for the past two months and feel great! I look forward to getting some new ideas from this team!
