Hello, and welcome to the team!
Medicine is not healthcare; Food is healthcare. Medicine is sickcare.
Don't let "Rural Iowa" keep you down from your goals! I have found the Hy-Vee health food sections are stocking more & more of the "stuff" you may be looking for. Des Moines also has a Trader Joe's (yeah!) and soon to get a Whole Foods, so maybe a once-a-month trip (if you are near there). There will soon be everybodies grandma wanting to give you their extra produce from the garden . . . take it! Wishing you much success towards your goals, from a fellow Iowan!
Welcome! and Hi to everybody. I haven't been around much lately.
Came across new Clean eating website with lots of recipes and thought someone might be interested.
This was featured in the latest copy of First for Women magazine. It is actually an elimination diet, but the recipes are all Clean and while some I wouldn't touch w/a 10 ft pole many look very tasty!

Hi there everyone! My name is Katie and I am new to this group! I look forward to learning alot about cleaner, healthier eating from everybody! I am pretty new to cooking in general so I am excited to learn new things. My only concern is that I live in rural Iowa where access to many certain ingredients aren't always obtainable. So any advice is welcome!! :)
