Welcome to the team. I'd say the gift of a grandchild is a great incentive to get healthy although doing it for yourself is what it's about. There's lots of great people here to help you stay motivated.
Hey Smiley if I can anybody can. I know people toss that expression out loosely, but this is what my hubby said on a face book photo.... "For years Celeste used to be the coach potato, now Celeste is dragging me on walks. About time" Believe me you can do it with a bit of personal effort.
I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Once I got my mind right and realized I am being watched by my family I changed. I would encourage you to get your mind right every day. Look at all the influence you have, how important you are to others and their need for you.

I am in a slump and need support to get out. I am 52 yrs. old; getting lazy and have no ambition to excersie or much of anything else. I am a mother of 2 girls; soon to be grandma for the first time in May. I did weight watchers 2 years ago and did very well; lost 45 pounds, but let myself go and got lazy. I lost my dad in Sept. 2009 and I think I gave up and thought what is life about. I got the I don't care attitude and can't seem to get out.
The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open.
