Been eating clean for almost a month (July 14th) and I feel incredible. So far I've dropped 15 lbs.... I am only 3 lbs away from hitting that ever elusive 100 lb mark which also coincidentaly happens to be my healthy BMI :)

When there's nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire.

This week I've dug through all my Pinterest recipes and I'm going to try out 5. I'll be trying No Bake Energy Bites for sure! It has peanut butter, coconut, oats, choc chips, flaxseed and honey. Nice change from other mid-morning/afternoon snacks. And I have pb I need to use up. Not sure if it's clean though :( I'll have to check the ingredients. I'm also going to make pizza bread with whole grain bread, low fat cheese, tomato sauce and turkey pepperoni. I'll make the best choices possible when shopping.

I hit the health food store in town the other day to get my citric acid and had a look around. They're only 1 block south of my condo so I'm going to walk down there and get my ingredients for the no bake energy bites there.

Thank you for reminding me!!!! Why on earth did I not have my mints out this weekend??? They always discourage me from snacking. That's a very good thing for me to remember. I'm going to put a tin of Altoids in the living room. Next time I feel like snacking, I'll pop one in my mouth instead.

I've had a terrible long weekend as far as food goes. Terrible. Back to my old ways. Aside from breakfast, some watermelon and my water I haven't eaten a single clean thing. Oh, I had my green tea every day. But that's it. I have completely blown it. I don't know why I did it. Frustration. Grief. I've been choking back feelings all week. Swallowing them.

I'm going to cook a chicken breast now. I have what I need for clean eating tomorrow and several days after. I have everything I need! I'm just not eating it. That changes now. I'm done eating for today. Unless I have more watermelon. And water.

This is the only recipe I use REFINED coconut oil. If you use VIRGIN coconut oil, your mayonnaise will taste like coconut. lol

I think mayonnaise is OK. I make my own using coconut and olive oil. No sugar added...

4 days on clean eating, hasn't really been to hard as most of my food is clean, however doing well reading all tins thinking about everything i'm eating, making cleaner recipes, drinking lots more water. Feel quite positive and wished I had done it sooner, silly things I had been consuming mayonnaise, sugared yoghurts etc all gone, even bread has been reduced giving me 300 calories less for breakfast.

On my second day of eating clean...or for me right now it is eating cleaner. Shooting for mostly clean meals at first. I was super impressed with my lunch today, my cleanest meal yet...baby green/spinach salad with 1/4 red bell pepper, 1/3 chopped cucumber, 1/4 cup of peas, 2.5 oz of salmon, and fresh lemon juice and ground pepper...so YUMMY! I surprised myself! emoticon

I was in my local grocery store waiting for an allergy prescription and I thumbed through Tosca Rena's book "Eat Clean Diet Recharged." It seemed like common sense and a quick, easy guide to help re-teach myself just how good eating fresh can be.

I've been seriously employing the "eat clean" method since Monday. So far, so good. Down a few pounds. Drinking FAR more water. Feeling a difference in the fit of my pants (which was a VERY good thing). And, am finally enjoying meal preparation again.

I'm feeling very much "on track" for success as I've finally figured the difference between how I lose 30 lbs several years ago and why they're slowing creeping back... because I may be within calorie range, but if it's just junk it doens't matter.

I'm hoping for another successful progress report next week.

Well I can't afford the specialty items like sucanat and the organic fare right now. I will have to make do with just the better choices of the cheap fare. I figure it's better than nothing.

I started clean eating at the beginning of December. As might be predicted, did well for about three weeks and then fell off the wagon. But I have dusted myself off and bandaged my injured ego and am now getting back on the right path. I came here to join up because I am trying to put SparkPeople to better use in the new year.

I didn't eat clean over Xmas but hey it was Xmas :o)
I bought a toaster oven on boxing day and will be doing my best to stop using my microwave - stove and toaster oven time! Will require thinking ahead for defrosting but in a pinch I will use my pressure cooker and cook from frozen.

I'm starting to really get this clean eating. I made my first two clean dishes for the family this week. Tonight were having the clean eating sloppy joes. They smell awesome! I hope everyone likes it! Plus I lost two pounds this week! YA!

Hi everyone! I am brand new to Eat clean and to the vegan life. After years of stomach/digestive issues and a constant bloat in my tummy my nurtionist discovered I was allergic to casein ( a protein found in dairy products and eggs), it was then that I realized what I ate was making me sick!
I've been a spark member since July and thanks to you lovely people I learned about Eating Clean. I have Tosca's newest book and everything she says just clicks and I'm ready to get started.
Looking forward to learning this new way to eat and losing weight along the way.

Even though I officially started SP on April 4th, I started getting serious and tracking my nutrition and fitness last week. At 5'2", I weighed 131#---one week later---127#. I dropped 4# in one week!

Measurements: I lost 1.25 inches total from hips, thighs, waist and bust.

I made January my month to cook CLEAN all month long. It paid off because I was down on the scale 5.6 pounds. started 2 weeks ago tomorrow.

weight was 200 pounds and my hands were cracked and bleeding pretty much lost the use of my left thumb and hand for the cracks and splits, shins were cracked and peeling (the joys of psoriasis).

today I weighed in at 190, and I can bend my left thumb and use it. shins are super itchy (normal) but there's normal skin under the flaking! yay!

That is a great improvement in BP! Way to go.

I actually lost weight this week. It has been the first time in about 14 months. I also shrank! About half an inch on some of my bigger parts (hips and legs).

I haven't taken my body fat measurements again. Everytime I remember I' have just finished working out. It is supposed to be done BEFORE a workout. Anyhow, I think I am going to post my BLOOD PRESSURE progress.

My fat count was a 31 on the 31st of august. I usually watch the dumb scale. 165.8.

Some of the members here had expressed an interest in posting their progress. So, I have started this thread for that reason. You can use any method you like. I will use my digital fat calipers...but you can use a scale or measurements or clothing size or whatever you like.

I only will do this one time per month.
My current body fat is 22%
