Good job! And welcome, although, you've probably been a member longer than me : ) I am on my 3rd week of sparkpeople and am absolutely loving it! I have lost 5 pounds so far and have great energy and motivation since starting it. Keep up the good work!

I am not new to this site - but new to actually using it. I bought the book "The Spark" a few weeks ago and I found it really inspiring. I set a few easy "spark streaks" based on what I read in the first couple of chapters and was shocked at the energy and enthusiasm I felt after a few days. It was motivating enough that I finally started using the site to log my daily nutrition and fitness activity and guess what - after months and months of "dieting" and getting frustrated because I wasn't losing any weight (sometime gaining) I lost almost 3 pounds the first week!!! I was eating way more calories than I thought this whole time (duh!!!). Now, I really motivated and looking to taking advantage of everything offered including making new friends on these forums :)
My overall goal is to lose 25 lbs by July 4th but I'm focusing on 5 lbs at time by eating 100% real food and exercising everyday. Nice "meeting" you, Andrea
