Start out by setting a few small daily goals. I would encourage you to keep track of your food, at least for a while. It helps you see where you can make positive daily changes. Track your fitness, which will help you meet physical goals.

Welcome to the team! This is a great place to be; a good group of motivated people! I agree, one of the best tools is the nutrition tracker, the fitness tracker is awesome too. Find some challenges to do and post on the boards. Others face some of the same difficulties you do. Congrats on the progress you have made so far and great job on the no smoking!emoticon

hi i`m a 36 single mom who quit smoking over a year ago. because of that and added unfortunate situations, i gained over 50 pounds over the last 4 years. thanx to my sister, (and also tosca reno, and Spark) i am embarking on a new journey--to become a healthier better me! i have signed up at the gym, have been practicing clean eating, and have been tryin to overcome my fear of all the equipment, and of course, the people around me. since ive started in feb. i have lost 16 pounds. i have 49 pounds more to lose! i am looking for inspiration, new ideas, help in general, and some friends who perhaps go to the same gym as me (to go with and motivate me!) really, any help is appreciated.....looking forward to hearing from you!
