JUST A LITTLE ADDENDUM; I DON'T DIET TO LOSE WEIGHT...I USUALLY JUST FIND IT AGAIN...SO I CHOOSE A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE TO GET RID OF THE WEIGHT.



Don't eat anything served out of a window unless you're a seagull.

If you don't learn from your mistakes, what's the point in making them?

Linda you are at the right place here at spark you can be motivated by so many by how they have changed the way they look at eating. Not on a diet by a way of life a better nutritional way of eating. I know sometimes we slip but we get right back to it and do better the next day. I find myself slipping now and then but do get back to it. This month is one that I am getting my focus back to working out daily even if just a walk. Also doing some weight training it helps to lose, I seem to be stuck on the same weight plateau big time. I did lose inches though so whenever you feel discouraged look at that. Inches do make a difference my clothes fit better all around.

Good luck on this journey that's what we are here for.

I know what you mean about friends...when mine hear I'm trying to get rid of this weight I either hear how they would do things differently...or excuses why they can't do it. Then I think I'm doing something wrong, or it isn't worth it...but 30# loss keeps me going. I have one friend who "became" a vegan, and just knows she will lose more than me... my thought is...good for you, I hope you succeed... this is not a competition with anyone but myself. I have to laugh, though, because she has become a vegan at least 3 other times, but goes back to eating meat in a very short time. I don't want a temporary fix...I want a healthier life style.
Once again I find myself going on and on.
I just jump into posts now and then, but I read them all.

Hi

I have been using Sparkpeople for almost a year, but I haven't used a lot of the community stuff before. I'm just giving it a try because I know that my friends are very supportive, but so few of them really understand me and my new fitness and nutrition focus. Probably most of you do though. Woohoo!
