I didn't have that problem when I was younger it's now that I am past the 50 mark with weight issues actually started before that. After my 2nd child never really lost the weight. I was one that worked out at night and slept like a log and now can't seem to get into that mode again. Since being on spark it has improved. I haven't been losing or gaining now for over 2 months which is good. But I want to see the scale go down. I did measure and found that I lost some inches. That was such a surprise for me, yeah so will keep at it and get back on the wagon so to speak and do the workouts and eat better. No slacking and TRY to make healthy choices. The trying can get hard when I have a hubby that likes to eat chocolate brownies and fried foods. I know the articles here have helped me get to know more about what to do to change some habits and get going. Ask at the forums and the answer to any questions are there. If not I am sure others willing to help out. GOOD LUCK ALL!!!

i too have been huge all my life. i have found sparkpeople to be the only site that works for me. i use the food and exercise logs, journal every day, and read read read the articles on support. best of luck to you.
My advice for you would be to make sure you track your nutrional goals and workout and cardio goals daily. This will really help you stay focused and on track with your goal. After awhile if you miss a day or two your body will let you know that you have not done what you were doing and your body tells you it needs this. You Can Do It and I will be here to support and motivate you.
I too have had a lifetime of weight issues and at my heighest I weighe 245. I divorced my husban in 1987 and was a single mother raising three children, this created a lot of stress for me but I decided that it was time for me to change my eating habits and workout regularly. When I met my husband, the one I have now been with for 23 yrs, I weighed 120 and did really good at keeping it off until I was in a car accident and broke my neck for the second time. This put a hault to my workout routing and what I could do physically for a long time and my weight went back up to 170 lbs. I was always easy for me to lose 10 to 15 lbs but no more than that. I joined SparksPeople in April and thank to the nutritional goals and workout and cardio goals I set for myself to follow daily, and of course the support and motivation of all my Spark Friends I have reached my weight goal of 130 lbs. Don't loose hope and give up because everyone can do this!

I too have had a lifetime of weight issues. My mother put me on my first diet at 10. The other kids always made fun of the FAT girl. At 40, I was down to 130; my husband divorced me. My highest weight was 245 when I found this website in January. I am having a hard time staying motivated right now because of a lot of issues in my life.
Good luck in your goals. Maybe we can help each other stay motivated.
Spent my whole life being large. My mom put me on a diet in high school, mentioning that my backside looked like the back of a bus. Still struggling with it today....the weight loss/weight gain cycle. Now an insulin-dependent diabetic, wear cpap mask to sleep to help with sleep apena, and wonder if I will ever getting my eating disorder under control. As a 47 year old mother of five, I am hoping to just to learn to enjoy eating healthy and getting exercise. My goals have gone from weight loss to gaining my muscle strength, flexibility, heathy eating habits and feeling better physically, emotionally, spiritually...but a little weight reduction would be nice to.
