Oooh yeah, that Keppra can be a doozy. Hopefully your experience will be "typical" in that you'll adjust fairly rapidly and the loopiness will get better. Keep up that strength and positive attitude!

All things in moderation.

The main thing is to take it slow one day at a time. Have you spoken with your doctor about an alternative medication? Maybe once your body adjust to your meds you'll be less loopy.
I keep you in my thoughts.

You know it is very good that you have noted that you do have an illness and you refuse to let it get the best of you. I like this in you and all I have to say is good luck and just keep your mind ahead of the game. YOU CAN DO THIS!!. I will keep you in my prayers.

First of all I wish the the best of health and wish you all the best during this journey. Secondly, preplanning your meals is a great idea; preplanning should help you stick to your meal plan.

Welcome to the Team!
Glad to have you joining us, but always put your health first.
Don't over do it because you are fighting to lose weight, listen to what your body is telling you at all times.
You and doctor will be working closely together to get a handle on this and the medication issues, and it won't be long and you will be that Fitness Bug you spoke of being once again.

Just take it one day at a time, you have to beautiful little girls counting on, so please listen to that body, and stay in close contact with your doctor..

I love your determination, keep that going, because a postitive attitude and determination is what beats alot of medical issues..

when i had back surgery in february I was on medication too for the first couple weeks, I didn't care what my husband fed me (USUALLY I HATE HIS COOKING. VERY UNHEALTHY) I just ate it and in those 2 weeks I gained some weight. I am now working hard at trying to get it off.
I hope you get better soon.
At least you realize what is happening to you while taking those meds, and your doing something about it!

Not to mention many, many other med issues! Best of luck! The team is here for you!

Hello!! I am Kara mother of 2 WONDERFUL little gals ages 5 and 7. About 6 months ago i weighted what i weighed when i returned home from the hospital after my youngest was born, i had always lost the weight easily as i am a fitness bugg naturally, i don't really know what changed me but i gained 35 lbs quickly and it hasn't come off so quickly. I got down to 155 which i was happy about but knew i wasn't done. Then, a week ago, i went into grand maul seizures in the middle of the night and woke up tuesday morning in the hospital. I have little memories of this 24 hour period and the medication (Keppra) that i am now on is not my new favorite thing. It makes me EXTREMELY loopy, i can't drive for 6 months, i had to have my dose lowered so i wouldn't sleep all day, and i feel weaker because of it. I have decided that this medication WILL NOT rule me! I am taking control! I gained a few lbs in the hospital and i have decided that one way to take control of my new life that i have to tackle is to take control of myself from the inside out. So i found this challenge! It will be step one figuring out how my life is going to pan out from now on. Soooo......i tried on some swimsuits today which i normally would NEVER have done over the past couple years because of my current body but man o man this Keppra makes me CARE NOT what i do look like or say ha ha ha!! Therefore, i know that if i don't care how i look in a swimsuit all summer because i'm so loopy...that could be scary for bystanders! So here i am! i have meals planned out for everyday of the week because i am a complete scatterbrain right now and have mindlessly been put things in my mouth all day long since starting this med......i know that i can suceed especially with my spark support!!!!
