Hey, guys. I've finally managed to get myself making the right choices to have a fairly consistent food intake, and having fixed the food habit, I'm ready to start in on more challenging fitness habits. 90% of my exercise comes from being on the job, but now I want to incorporate more into my home life as well. I'm hoping that this boot-camp will provide structure where I desperately need it, because I notice myself falling back on the same old core routines that, while making me feel less stiff, probably don't challenge me they way that they should. So I'm going to dive in and find all that this boot-camp has to offer. looking forward to working with all of you!

hello everyone -I am a new member in SparkPeople! emoticon
I am a middleaged woman (ssshhh-don't tell anyone- emoticon )
in the past year I had lost almost 50 lbs -unfortunantly I didn't do it correctly!
I litterally syarved myself-eating only 1 meal per day-needless to say not only was it unhealthy but also as soon as I started eating like a "NORMAL" person (3 meals a day)
I started gaining the weight right back!! emoticon So I am here in an effort to loose weight correctly & learn how to keep the weight off by living a much more healthy lifestyle!!!
This looks like a really awesome team & site & I hope that all my new friends will help me achieve these goals!! emoticon

Hello all! I have lost over 130 pounds in my weight loss journey (began in 2006), but I have had a rough year, and have gained back 38 pounds. Yikes!! I am currently 5'7" and weigh 185 pounds. I want to get down to between 140-145. If you do the math, you'll see that I was VERY close to my goal weight, but never quite got there. I am determined to get there this time! I don't really care how long it takes, but in order to have a SMART goal, I am shooting for losing 45 pounds in 25 weeks, so by September 30. I can do it!!

Been a team member for a looong time but just getting active again on Spark after an extended break. I'm finishing the Official Jumpstart in January team's workouts and want to start this or upon completion. So I'll start on Monday next week. Or maybe I'll start Sunday. Anywhoo I love the routine being laid out for me and I don't have to decide what to do each day. Keeps me accountable!

Hi! New here and just joined this group.
I am 5'4 and need to be 130 for average weight. WOuld like to get there sometime this summer to at least enjoy my body during the heat for some amount of time. I currently am at 170.. i was consistenly for about a year at 160. Literally in a week's time, I gained 10 lbs. ..? ridiculous. I NEED to get on track and take my health seriously. Feeling lazy and tired all the time is the story of my life. My husband is a Godsend but my weight is putting a burden on our boudoir life... wink wink. and the self confidence is effecting my social life in general. Self esteem issues are so hard to deal with.
I need some magical motivation to get me in gear and say no to food. I simply eat too much and dont move enough. So happy to be with Spark! i love the success stories and the stories of struggling that i can relate to so much. God bless everyone! I know we can all do it. :)

Hey team, my name is Becky. I am 33 years old, weigh in at 215, and my goal is to loose 50 pounds by June 2013. I am very active now, but need more motovation to exercise in the mornings. I normally hit the gym with my trainer 3 days a week for weight training and get cardio 4 to 5 days a week by walking my 150 pound bulldog. I want to look better in my bathing suit when my husband and I go on vacation next year. I want to have at least one set of beach photos that I am proud enough to display in my home with me in them. Right now all I will put on the wall is head and shoulder shots, and they are limited. Lets do this!

I'm 28 years old about to turn 29 in a few days. i have recently stopped smoking and drinking energy drinks so i have gained a little weight. I'm currently 128 pounds. I'm 4 feet 9 inches tall. I have three kids my youngest is 7 months old. i lost all the baby weight but gained it all back. Would like to weight 105. That's my goal.

I'm in the same boat!!! I cannot believe I've gain all this weight. I'm 205 now and I'm starting to cover up all the time. I hate the way my clothes fit and most of all how fat my face is when I look at pictures. I hate it when someone trys to take my picture. I did the spring challenge and if you add the CARDIO video it adds it calculates the calories for you...

It never did calculate the strength exercises for me.... so I can't be sure about that.

Hi everyone. I am very please to be part of this team. I've been part SparkPeople for a number of years but just now tried their exercise videos, and I love them. I am doing the Swimsuit Boot Camp. My main question is how many calories are burned in each video. I would love to put this in my Fitness Tracker but I'm not sure the amount of calories. Can anyone help me with this?

Tip to reduce weight: First turn your head to the right and then turn it to the left. Repeat this exercise every time you are offered something to eat.

Okay.... not good, I might have to leave challenge.... my wireless antenna just went out on the computer so I can't do the videos..... I don't have a cord that is long enough for my workout room. UGH!!!

Hello out there... My name is Beth I am from Alabama. I would LOVE to find locals to chat with and maybe meet up with once a month or something. However, that has not been the case so far.

I went through the Spring challenge and I did okay. I REALLY love the fact of a daily set routine so I am going to try this one.... I think the videos are the same. I plan to start this challenge Sunday so that I can establish a routine on the start date that I did before. It helps me keep myself "in line".

All that being said I LOVE my spark friends. I have made many since joining in April. I have also lost 8 pounds. I have had ups and serious downs as well as good and bad weeks of eating. I am guessing this is pretty normal on a long journey like this. I have never done anything that totally changed my life and eating like this, nor have had ever been on a place like this that helped so much.

I am married and have 2 sons... one in college and one is going to be a senior in high school this fall. We currently have 4 dogs and a cat.... we are trying to find new homes for 2 of our dogs due to my husbands medical condition.

I personally would like to lose at least another 52 pounds..... I am not sure that will happen because of my age and my body changes through the years after have 2 children..... my husband and son say they think I will be "to skinny" at that weight. Honestly the last time I was that weight I think I was 13... I am now 43. *LOL* They might be right, but I think I will God decide over the next year.

So here I am... ready, willing and able...to give and get all support and encouragement

Hi all! My name is May. I am trying lose 17 pounds. i have a vacation that I am getting ready for. I will be leaving in 2 months and a half.My weight has been fluctuating for quite some time. The yo-yo is driving me insane. I get closer closer closer, then suddenly further, further, further. I cant take it any more. I am going to do this.
How hard can it be? Eat healthy?!Stay within my calorie bracket! Work out at least 30 minutes each day!

Haven't been to spark people in a looong while. I guess I've been away due to an extended bout with a chronic illness. Fortunately, I'm in a great spot right now, mentally and medically. My body, however, not so much... I'm looking to get back all those muscles that I lost and tone up for a beach trip at the end of June. Hi! I'm Tara. I don't usually like joining these sort of discussion type groups, but I have realized I need support and motivation to stay on top of my weight loss goals. I have slowly been gaining weight since I was 13, no I'm 22 and weigh in at 149 pounds and wearing a size 11. I'm ready to get back into my skinny jeans and swimsuits and be a good role model for my children!

Hi,

Hi, I'm Jessica. I normally do not like group things, but I really need help to lose weight, so I'm willing to try. I am married with two small children. I work full time at a preschool. My problem isn't so much about finding the time to workout as to find the motivation after every marathon of my everyday. My weight has started to negatively affect my life in ways that I always thought "o, that won't happen to me". I haven't had a swimsuit body, ever, and I'm going to start trying for one.

Hello all! I have recently had a baby in December and I'm in my early 30s. When people said it's hard to loose when you've turned 30 they weren't really lying. I have my struggles but I'm hoping that I'll be able to get motivated to get back into my size 12s. I don't like to make goals I can't achieve but I really want to be comfortable in my swimsuit this summer. Nothing is more embarrassing than what I've been seeing in the mirror lately. I want my toned legs back...thighs are the major issue. Yes, I'd love a bikini body again but I really just wan to look good in my one-piece for now. I am really looking forward to what y'all have in store to help. :)

Hi all! I've been sporadically using SP for a while now; discovered it during one of my husband's deployments and it really helped me not gain much during the most recent one. He's done with deployments now, and we're heading to Hawaii this spring to celebrate our 15th anniversary. I'd love to feel more comfortable in a swimsuit before we get there!

I also follow FlyLady, and that has helped me become more comfortable with who I am and how I'm doing at taking care of our house and family regardless of whether I'm happy with my current weight. Peace of mind is such a wonderful thing! Overall, I'm at a good place to resume seriously working to reduce my weight and improve my health.

We have 2 kids in elementary school, and as the weather warms up this spring they enjoy playing outside. I'm blessed to work part time as an attorney, so I can spend plenty of time with the kids. I want to be able to toss on my roller skates and join them again without worrying about who is going to see me making a fool of myself.

Hi guys I'm a hefty fresh out of college student that is looking to shape up. I'm using this bootcamp as a supplement to the C25K program I'm currently doing. I need all the extra cardio I can get. I'm excited to start on Sunday.

Hi! My name is Mandi. I am 35, a single mom, a busy attorney and have neglected my own needs for far too long. Spark People is such a great place to help jumpstart weight-loss. It helped give me the motivation I needed to lose 12 lbs. I went from 152 to 140 and now I am back to lose 10 more pounds. Though my beach body is pretty hot there is still room for improvement.

I'm a past fitness freak who has let it all go for quite some time (yikes! Can it be more than 3 years since I regularly exercised?). I even used to teach Core and aerobics way back when. Well anyway, 35 lbs later, I'm not wanting to feel bad about how I feel or look at this weight. Would like to join a gym but don't have either the $$ or the motivation to do so. Worked the SparkPeoplr IPad app earlier this year without joining any groups and lost 7.5 lbs quickly. Looking forward to a more engaged, motivated experience this time around.

Hi, I am Kate from Florida. I just started Spark a couple of weeks ago and love it so far. I even moved my laptop so it is easier to log on and track my nutrition and fitness! I am not good at checking my normal email, but this site has me addicted thus far! I am all about thinking positive and seeing your goals. Hi everyone. I'm new to SparkPeople and new to this team. I am coming up to my 44th birthday and am not where I want to be with my weight and health. I was always tall and slender growing up and in the last 3 years I have packed on weight, lost energy and lost self confidence. I realized that I was getting winded every time I climbed the stairs in my house. I tried another program earlier this year, only to become even more discouraged than I was when I started because despite my following the program, the scale continued to climb. I've only been a member here for 1 week but already I have more energy, find that I'm drinking way less coffee, sleeping better and have lost 6 lbs (although I realize that it is likely to be mostly water weight). I live in Minnesota now but moved here from Toronto Canada 2 years ago to get married (2nd marriage). I have been feeling a little isolated here despite my darling husband's best efforts to make a beautiful home for me. I think that being part of this community is helping me feel like I'm part of a group of friends and so I'm feeling a little less lonely. I look forward to participating in team goals and giving it my all!

Hi y'all I have been a member of spark a year. I have lost 30 pounds so far but would like 10 more and to tone my flabby parts!!! I'm going on a cruise in November and would love to have my flabby parts toned up so I can feel comfortable wearing a swim suit. I have 2 grown sons and a wonderful girlfriend. I am a flight medic for a EMS service so I don't get to eat normal sometimes which is a huge problem for my nutrition part but I'm working through it. Look forward to talking to some folks!

Hello, my name is Alicia and I have technically been a member on SparkPeople.com for a long time but I have not visited the site for a couple of years. I also never took advantage of anything here. I really want to do that now! I am 26 years old and a mother of 2 boys ages 7 and 11 months. I am here looking for support- from someone that can relate. My husband may truely be the most supportive man alive but he does not workout himself and eats, in my opinion, unhealthy about 75% of the time. I try and get him to workout but not much luck! I have been losing weight recently. I went into labor with my son on Sept. 1, 2010 at 185lbs. (now I should mention he weighed 10.5lbs 22.5"!) But since then I have lost 55lbs. I am very close to my goal and sometimes it gets tough but it is also so rewarding. I hope to meet some women who can relate, or maybe someone that needs any advice. Before having my son I worked as a Manager/trainer at Curves Fitness Center and loved it! Right now I enjoy Zumba, free weights, working out on my wii and kinect.

I joined Spark in 2007. I lost 40lbs but had a baby last year and have gained it all back! I need to get it off again, plus lose about 20-30 more. I have decided I will not be obsessed about the number on the scale, I just want my flabby belly and back rolls to go away. :( It was hard to lose weight before - I dedicated all my time and energy to it. I am a bit nervous about doing it again, because this time I have a husband and baby to take care of too.

Hi all! I started my lifestyle change a year ago & went from a size 22W to a 16. I've lost 23 pounds. My goal is to wear a size 14 swim suit on a family reunion cruise in 2 weeks. I WILL make it! Then I need to loose 49 more pounds to be at my ideal weight. My goal is to do this through nutrition & fitness. No fad diets, pills or anything that will backfire on me like I've done in the past. This bootcamp was recommended to me by another SP friend,,I HOPE I am up to it. I am still in a cast, but FULL of VIGOR and VIM and READY to start to excerise to some extent ! So YES I want this ! I also am lacking some motivation, so I WANT this to help me to get restarted. Hi everyone, my name is Beth I am joining this team to mix up my exercise routine. I have been a spark member for over a year. But never really started using it till this past Jan. So far I have lost 43lbs and would like to lose at least 30 more. I have done a couple other of the bootcamp teams & loved them. I am hoping I see results just like I did with the other teams. Hi everyone, can't remember if I introduced myself and I am in week two. Sorry just a bad week and a half, did the exercises but my mind decided to go on vacation and ignore me.

I am here because, I am trying to get the exercise mind set. I completed a different 28 day challenge and knowing I was in the challenge made me do it every day. When I completed it, I kind of slacked off mentally and had to force myself, instead of looking forward to it. So another challlenge to keep me going and develop good new habits.

My whole being is effected postitively by these challenges and I am greedy, I want to feel that way more and more.

It is more important to know where you are going than to get there quickly, Do not mistake activity for achievement (Mabel Newcomer)

The saddest thing of all my friend, what might have been.

I am not in this world to live up to your expectations or you to mine.

Lead, follow or get out of the way, but do SOMETHING!

Hi there! I am just getting started on the site, but have been doing different things to try and lose weight for some time. I am looking to lose 20 lbs, and want to be able to go out and enjoy summer activities without being self-conscious about how I look in a bathing suit.

As a pescatarian, not carb-loading is a big challenge for me. I also struggle with getting in a workout rut, so I am hoping this group will help with some new ideas to mix it up.

Hey everyone! I'm Angie! I am on the tail end of my weight loss journey, and really need to focus on toning up my body!!! I have lost a total of 89lbs and only have 11 more to go!!! :)
I can't remember the last time I put on a swimsuit, and am dying to buy myself a bikini! I just don't feel quite comfortable enough with parts of my body to put one on yet!
Hoping this will be a good workout to do everyday, to add to what I already am doing!
