Welcome Carla!

There are some great ideas for cheap eats, in past posts.

Some ideas that people seem to like are growing your own veggies, if only a few, turning to beans, eggs, yogurt and cottage cheese for some meatless, protein meals.
Going to local farmers markets, or loading up on sale items at the store and freezing or canning them.

Soups and stews can really stretch a budget and fill growing boys tummys. I have two sons and a daughter, all grown, but I remember the days, well.

Meat prices are really on the rise, but buying on sale and freezing makes this doable. Maybe put a bit less meat and a bit more veggies in things.

Well, that is a start. Look through and see what people have offered as suggestions.
There are even some nice recipes, that are put together in creative ways. emoticon
