I don't have a yogurt maker amazingly! I found a recipe for yogurt made in a crockpot from the blog Crockpot 365 and then I found a video from another source documenting the same exact steps on youtube! I feel even more thrifty knowing that I am utilizing my crockpot for more than just making soups, stocks, and other warm dishes.
I am usually in a hurry for breakfast so I usually make some kind of sandwich like a low-salt peanut butter sandwich on light bread or a turkey sandwich or something. At home I like to have breakfast burritos sometimes but if I do I have a light lunch because they have a lot of calories in them.
If I were to be able to relax I'd probably just like to have a bowl of cereal but I don't usually have time for that.
Of course always, always there needs to be coffee.
I hate cooked oatmeal, but I know that oatmeal is good for a body, so I tried this and fell in love with it: 1/2 cup of oatmeal, 1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt (homemade at less than 1/3 of the price of regular yogurt), a sprinkling of equal, 1/4 of a frozen chopped banana, and a cup of nonfat milk on the side... a good chunk of food, 19 grams of protein, and a good chunk of fiber for 320 calories!

My favorite is: regular oatmeal (no quick or instant) with raisins, a touch of no-trans-fat spread of some sort, and cinnamon much like an oatmeal cookie 8 oz. milk 4 oz. orange juice a mug of mocha...half regular coffee + half decaf + a little cocoa + a little sweet + a little milk + a bit of vanilla I don't worry as much about the total calories for breakfast as I do for meals later in the day.

My favorite, when there is time, is 1 egg plus 1 egg white, scrambled, with spinach, mushrooms, cheese and sometimes ham bits, rolled in a tortilla. It seems like a pile of food stretched out in a tortilla, and stays with you quite awhile.
A recent find is a frozen Jimmy Dean turkey sausage, egg white, and cheese, on a multigrain muffin (like a sausage, egg Mcmuffin), only very lean. Very filling too! Delicious!
