I like the SparkPeople motivational quote: “People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing -- that's why we recommend it daily.”
It is good to change things up. We need variety. We also need what works for us. I tried aquafit last fall, and I feel like my physical condition as gotten worse, not better. Needless to say, I will be looking at different alternatives this year!
My goals are to get re-motivated. For like the 4th time.
I know I can lose weight I did it about 4 years ago but lost motivation upon changing jobs. I did maintain that loss until last year when I gained back 5, and have maintained that weight for the last year.
I am planning on doing the walking training with the school for people that are going on a 10 km marathon, but I am wondering if I should change it up this year. Start jogging instead. Walking doesn't help me at all.
I am going to take better care of myself too, I have been stuffed up for 4 months now, had been treated twice for sinus infections and had 3 colds. And my back has been killing me for over a month now. I am sick of it.
Karen, see that mountain scene down at the bottom of each of your posts and the person kicking? See where it says that your current weight is 470? Now, I don't you don't weigh anywhere near that, and never have. That ticker says your goal is 33o!
Since you don't know what I am talking about, I suspect maybe one of your sons changed it on you while you weren't looking. I would say that it is someone's idea of a practical joke.
don´t know what you mean diane,my weight tracker says start weight 330lbs which is what my heaviest weight is.i wrote a blog why i changed it from the 270 when i started sp.sorry to confuse you dianne.don´t where you get those 660 or 726 from, lol
These all sound like terrific goals and plans, except Karen (Ever-Hopeful) you have me really confused.
You doubled your weight on your weight tracker?
I don't get it. Why would you do that? Actually, I don't think you did that. Double your heaviest weight would be 660, not 726. I guess maybe you have converted to some other measuring system not based on pounds or kilos.
My mother and I have decided to start our own little Biggest Loser competition between us, my grandmother, and my brother. We will weigh ourselves every week, and each month the person who lost the highest perecentage of their weight will get a prize (paid for by the others). I am hoping to stay motivated, planning on eating better, resisting temptations, exercising more, and accepting that even if I make a mistake, it's not the end of the world and I can start fresh again right away.

i plan to get to goal, lol.i know this was my goal last year but even though i am no where near it i am still down in weight when you concider all the problems myself and my family have it is amazinmg i have doubled my weight let alone lost any,so to me.
my plans to get to goal this year are
#no excuses, you can do it attitude(this will be my mantra) #exercise at least 6 days a week for 45-60 minutes #drink 10 or more glasses of water #try calorie cycling, never done that before.(while keeping with in my range) #except that i am human and as such am not perfect. #never give up no matter what. #admitt when i am struggling and acept the help people offer.
I plan on going to MN in May, for a wedding/reunion. It's been 2 years since I saw them all, and I was 44 lbs heavier. I'm hoping I'm no longer the heaviest relative! Although I've lost weight, and 3 clothes sizes, I still haven't reached my weight goal (and remain on a plateau weight-wise), but I've exceeded my expectations with regular exercise, and definition. I never thought I'd see my figure again. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this trip. So....
My plans are to:
Continue with regular exercise and healthy eating.
Focus more on ST, definition, and toning.
Improve my meal planning, preparing, and utilization goals.
Re-affirm my focus on regular devotions/bible study.
Find balance to accomplish it all!
Dear Lord, set my sights on You and Your great attributes. Help me to live in Your presence, dependent on Your guidance each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
