diane you don´t have to be sorry love,forgive me i have just been through alot lately and had just found out when i posted last that lotfi has to stay longer in tunisia.zakariya will come home on the 12th of september with lotfi´s niece as he has school on the 14th but ayman and ayyub will stay with lotfi as i can´t look after them by myself,i am not allowed to lift more than 2.5 kilos which makes even shopping out i have to rely on friends to help me and that is not me i am used to doing everything.on top of that ayman is ill he has a lung infection which as you know with his health issues can be dangerous for him and i am not even there to comfort him.the dr recomends that i do virtually nothing for 6 weeks after the op then i can walk etc,do light housework and exercise but have to be very careful for at least 6 months.the hardest is with ayman as i haven´t seen him(except on web cam) for nearly 8 weeks and goodness knows when i will next see him and at his age that is a long time.also it is just hitting me how near i was to dieing,as the dr said i could have died any day in the last 20months.also the fact that they had to resusitate me in the op shows how close i was.as i said this has been a very stressful month for me this month and today would have been my mothers birthday if she was still alive.so all in all i am a bit down so forgive me and thanks for being there for me.your suggestions where good though,lol.

Good luck with your plan too on the ST. I don't know much about it, but i know it sure feels good when I do it, generally as part of a routine.

That sounds like a great plan, Fit2B2!

I'm sorry, Karen. After I posted that remark, I had second thoughts about it. Sometimes it's not easy to stay sane. I realize that not only do you have the boredom to deal with, but also the loneliness. I didn't even think about the frustration of wanting to do things and not being able to do them. It can be downright depressing!

I hope you can get help to do some of the things doing that need doing that you can not do.

How long do you think it will be before you are back on your feet?

My 2 short-term goals for September & 1 for October are:

1. Get back into a regular exercise routine. I've been lazy, so I'll just start again with at least 10 mins, then go as long as I can.

2. Make a plan to get back into cooking again, at least a few days/wk. So my actual goal is to get through the stack of ideas then, come up with a plan for healthy, tasty, simple, budget-friendly meals.

OCTOBER:
3. October - Last October I made a commitment to get back on the healthy track, cut portions and sweets in order to be prepared for the Holidays. It was a great plan with alot of exercise and healthy eating. I stopped eating sweets and by Thanksgiving and Christmas, it was a breeze. I even had healthy meals on both holidays. My only cheat was Toll House Triple Chocolate Chunk cookies on Christmas. Overall, I did great.

I re-commit to that same plan this October for the upcoming holidays.

diane it is not easy,i can see all the things around me in the house that needs doing and i am not allowed to,i am missing my family and i am eating just for the sake of it out of loniness and boredom not out of hunger.i dread next weigh in.and as i say i am slowly going insane and trying my best not to be.

Do you have any short term goals?
What are they?

Simple goals, more complicated goals, any goal you have in the next week, weeks, or month. (Especially if they are fitness, health, weight, or budget related)

I plan to learn more about ST. I'm doing some ST, but think I should learn more about it and do more.

I also plan to sign up for Aquafit.
3 steps
- Get the card I need to register.
- Register on Sept. 13
- Go to classes!
