Bravelute-- thank you for the challenge. I really had not given it much thought till this weekend. I like the idea of adding fruits and veggies before any grain or meat. I also looked up your "diet" of afullplate. I gave it a try yesterday and felt quiet good about myself and my eating decisions yesterday. I am going to set my goal of eating 1 fruit and 1 veggie before each meal today. Mixed with lots of water. Thank you for sharing your ideas with me!

I purchase some veggies yesterday for the weekend. When breakfast came, I was able to eat in and around my omelet, 5 veggies. This would have been unheard of for the old George. As in life, you have to plan your work, and work your plan.

Good luck Keri.

I came to this team looking for what I should be eating for a healthy lunch and I have decided we each determine that for ourselves. Sooooo . . . What kind of parameters have you set for yourself for a healthy lunch?

For example, for me, I make myself include at least 2 servings of vegetables and 1 fruit before I add in anything else. In other words I make a plant food salad, stew, smoothie or plate, before I even think about adding a grain or little bit of meat. I'm eliminating dairy at this time because I think the allergy I had when I was very young is still a problem, or has returned. So, my decisions are for my health, not to make someone else take on my habits.

Good points there Keri. Breakfast is the most planned meal of the day for me. Lunch used to mean going out to eat. Then I would still eat often through the end of the day. I have been routinely taking my lunch to work. I try to eat out for lunch only once a week.

Howdy everyone! Lunch is the worst part of my day, mostly because I have no witness around to see how or what I eat. Plus I have lots of friends that love to eat lunch out and I tend to order the worst things on the menu!!! So this is where I am going to make my life change.

Today is a new day and I am going to try and make some wise choices one day at a time!!
