Glad you are here! Spark people have some great food idea's and once you get the hang of making and taking your lunch, not only will your waist be smaller, chances are your bank account will be fatter!
Watching salt intake also trying not to buy foods that have high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.
No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.
If an item has more than 10 ingredients I put it on the Do Not Buy List as it is too processed.

Hi! My name is Julie, and I've actually been lurking and posting for about a week or so. I have gained about 30 lbs over the past year - mostly because I now have a sedentary stressful job, and....eat out quite a bit. My doc recommended I try 1400 calories a day, and I did really well this week. Didn't start the diet change until after Thanksgiving! I weigh in at the local urgent care clinic every Sunday after church (keeps me honest over the weekend ;) and I am excited about tmrw! Love the lunch ideas I am getting from all of you!
