emoticon !!! i eat at my desk most days and i find that preparing everything i need the night before really helps. i pack a breakfast (either scrambled egg whites with salsa and avo or nonfat greek yogurt with chia seeds, raw walnut pieces, raisins and a little truvia to sweeten my yogurt). for lunch i try to stay away from the light, frozen convenience meals and bring something iíve cooked or ingredients for a big salad. i also bring enough food for a mid-morning snack and a mid afternoon snack. typically my AM snack is fruit or nuts depending on what i had for breakfast and my afternoon snack is usually a slice of sprouted grain bread with Ĺ a tablespoon of pb. i find that having lean protein and healthy fats helps keep me full longer.

good luck with you lunch routine! emoticon

Thanks for the encouragement. It's pouring today, but I can still walk some laps inside the building.

Welcome to the team. I usually work through my lunch time, but when I can I get up and walk either around the building or inside. It is very nice. I also do leg exercises when I'm at my desk. Good luck.

On your lunch break you could go walk around your building. I work remotely now, but when I worked in a building a starting walking while I had a light portable lunch like a Lara bar and when another lady saw me doing it for a couple weeks, she started walking with me. Another big thing is getting up every once in a while and stretching and then making the most of your time when you get home even if you are tired. It might not be the best decision, but I drink a sugar free Red Bull a couple hours before I want myself to work out and I have a lot more motivation.

Boy, I just realized that I did a lot of brand name dropping in that statement emoticon

Well, I am currently on a very short lunch break at work when I found this sparkteam. I just had to join. I'm trying very hard to get to a healthier lifestyle but there aren't enough hours in the day. I hope being in this group will help me with getting to a healthier daily living routine.
