I find it funny that the original poster is from Philly also. I just tried to find something on SP that gave ideas for healthy lunch truck choices. These trucks are all so tempting, especially in Philly LOL. But I can do just fine when ordering a sandwich. They pretty much make it anyway you want (the healthy way). I ask for more veggies sometimes. There's always a healthier way. I can't remember the last time I had a cheesesteak LOL

Years ago, I worked for a company that got visits from the lunch trucks twice a day! Those breakfast burritos called my name!

I am glad they seldom come where I work now. The one exception is that MoGo Korean BBQ truck last Friday. They're looking at having them come once a month. I know to avoid them now. Some foods, I have no need to know how good they taste!

Thanks for the tips guys! I've been researching some healthy truck options and plan to only go once a week from now on!

Do any of the trucks have healthy food? Or maybe limit yourself to once or twice a week.

That has to be tough. So...you have to be tougher and smarter than the lunch truck. Plan, plan, plan!

Write on!

It might sound strange if you don't live in a place where delicious food CAN and often DOES come on 4 wheels, but here in Philadelphia (esp. where I work), lunch trucks are everywhere. You can get pretty much anything you want off a truck from bagels and Chinese food, and it's cheap! I joined this group because I'm never tempted to splurge at breakfast and I really like cooking healthy dinners at home...but LUNCH! The trucks call to me. Supportive friends are welcome!
