Started The 17 Day Diet today January 9 2012 - Day 1. I followed the book to the T. I feel good. Breakfast - Greek Yogurt and Apples Lunch Tuna lettuce greens and tomatoes with balsamic vinigarette and Carrots, snack yogurt and fruit Dinner - Grilled Chicken with mix vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Drank the lemon water this morning, had 3 cups of green tea and 8 cups of water.
Congrats on the weight loss so far! I'm also in the process of creating a detailed plan that makes sense for me and that I can actually stick to. I've never been able to stick with anything in the past. But I've put on more weight in the past 2 years and am freaking out about it!

Starting a new direction on eating healthy (Diet and Lose Weight)
Today Monday, January 17, 2011 - I will be starting The 17 Day Diet. My starting weight today is 167 lbs. I will only be scheduling time to eat as follows Monday and Wednesday this week Breakfast Cereal and Milk, apples, and green tea. Tuesday, Thurs, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Egg Whites, apple and green tea. Monday - Friday Lunch - Eat all the right foods from The BOOK (The 17 Day Diet). Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - Dinner Eat from THE BOOK. Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Dinner (Tue - eat at mom's) Friday, Sat. Sunday (lunch and Dinner eat out) try to stick to lean protein, vegetables and fruit and yogurt. I still will be keeping a journal of my food intake, I will be recording in my Itouch (loseit app). My food intake should be between 1200 - 1400. I will be exercising Monday, Wednesday and Thrusdays from 5pm to 6pm, or 6:30pm or 7pm. Depending on my mood. I would do the stepping machine for 30 mins. Circuit training on Monday and Wednesday for 30 mins. If I want to extra I will do 30 mins on stepping machine and/or treadmill for 30 mins. I like to walk at lunch Monday through Friday for 30 mins. When the weather is nice I will be starting my lunch routine. It has been too cold now.
Today's Breakfast - 9 am special k berry cereal, non fat milk, apples, green tea PLUS I had 2 cups of coffee with cream and equal. 1pm Lunch - Tuna no mayo, 2 cups cauliflower, 32 grape tomatoes, livactive cottage cheese, apple. For my Snack 11am Weight Watcher string cheese and Hershey's dark chocolate nugget and yogurt at 3pm. Dinner at 8pm - Chicken breast, carrots and broccoli 1 or 2 cups each my total calories intake is 1200. Exercise burned calories 600 to 800 (step machine and circuit training 30 min each if I do extra step machine 30 min low impact. I hope to lose 5 to 10 lbs in 4 weeks. The book states you can close 10 to 12 lbs in the 1st 17 days. We will see if I can lose 10 lbs in 17 days. Fingers Cross.
Unfortunate that is not right to leave when you put on weight. I am somewhat lucky my husband does not judge me on my weight. I do not have any children and I have only lost my grandfather about 12 years ago. But I want to help and be your buddy.

I will take controll over my body and lose the weight and then when i ever see my youngest daughter,s dad i will just walk right past and smile, I had his only Daughter and because i put abit on when she was born he left me saying i dont do fat woman and he as not even sin his daughter since she was 18mths old, She is now 5yr and 4mths, Well its his loss not mine.
Hi, I am happy to day I like this website. It helps me stay focus. I want to lose weight to do away with medication. Last year sometime in Sept. 2008 I was 216 today I am now 198. I am happy the company I work for wants us to be healthy they have helped my success in losing weight. Yah!!!
