SparkPeople has a video on office exercises. look at all the videos etc. the resistance bands are great. you can do anything with it even sitting at a desk. you can do tricepts, bicepts, leg etc.
when i was working and the weather was unbearable for outdoor walking, i use to go up and down stairs. never used the elevator to get to the office either. if you are too high up, you can get off the elevator a few flights before yours and use the stairs. check out spark. JO
In our town, we have finished a flood control project. There is a beautiful rectangular holding pool which has a sprayer to aerate the water. Around this is a walk. 2 and 1/2 time around is a mile. I stopped on the way to work & walked this morning before it got hot. It was beautiful!!!!Think I'll do this every morning!!
That is what I was doing are my office is right down from a City Park and it is quite nice, however it is just too hot now and it is not pleasant to be that sweaty for the rest of the day LOL! The building is pretty secure so it is not easy to get between floors so I have started to try and do standing leg swings and incline push up on my desk things like that. I keep a resistance band under my desk but haven't started using it yet. Not quite sure what to do with the darn things. I guess I could ask my trainer for some ideas but I havn't started working with my new trainer yet, first session today. I have worked the past 10 months with a trainer that I really liked but she was let go from the gym so starting over. Thanks for the comment.
My name is Paula and I am a 43 year old office worker. I have been loosing weight for about a year and have lot 70 pounds so far, 50 more to go. My next big goal is to loose 30 pounds before my Marine son comes home for Christmas. I live in South Texas and we are set for our next record breaking hot day today. 104 yesterday and 102 today. I started walking during my lunch our last fall and early spring but it is too hot now. Looking for ideas to get in some more exercise in the office. I do go to the gym 5 days a week, but every little extra bit helps.
