Thank you all for your words of welcome and encouragement!

The cafeteria at one of the hospitals is just down the hall, but at another hospital it is in a different building. I need to get a new battery for my pedometer so I can track how much I actually walk each day, you're right, I should be including that in my fitness minutes.

Welcome, you are starting off in a positive light already! How far is the cafeteria, you may be able to include your walk back & forth from their towards your cardio goal, every little bit helps.

I decided to join this team in hopes that I will become more accountable for my lunch choices. I figure if I set a goal to post each day what I have eaten, that will help me to not make impulsive choices emoticon

So today is emoticon of the goal, and I went with a sandwich (wheat bread, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mayo and mustard), baby carrots (no dressing) and a big bottle of water.

I work at a hospital 4 days a week, and I get free food in the cafeteria. There are plenty of healthy choices, but plenty of unhealthy ones too. I also am only allowed to leave my desk for very small amounts of time, so I have to get lunch and then come right back to eat it. This makes it nearly impossible to exercise, so eating healthy at lunch is all the more important.
