Hi Kathi and welcome. I usually bring a salad or a sandwich to work. Occasionally, I'll make soup and heat it up and bring it to work in a thermos.

I'm Monica from Florida and I work in a law firm, so I hear you about making lunch choices. I try to bring Uncle Ben's rice in a bag (I love those!) or some healthy choice frozen meals. If not, I'm stuck with buying overpriced salads from nearby restaurants!

I find that when I pack my lunch the night before I am far more likely to be good and actually pack lunch! We are always rushing around in the morning so it is one less thing to think about. DH and I do alot of salads for lunch. We will buy a big container of field greens from Costco on Sunday and that gets us through the week. I also grill extra chicken or salmon on Sunday and use that for salads throughout the week. I also pack a yogurt to go along with the salad. We also do leftovers from our evening meal. Things like couscous with vegetables and chicken travel well. We were doing canned soup in the winter but stopped when we realized who high the sodium content was. I did make a couple of big batches of homemade soup and froze it in individual serving size containers. That worked well.

Hello everyone! I'm Kathi from Florida. I work in an office setting and I'm trying to get better about bringing my lunch so I can make better choices. It's easy just to run to Wendy's or Subway since they are close by and even the "healthy stuff" can be high calorie/fat. I've been good about packing my lunch so far this week but I'd like new ideas on yummy lunch foods to pack.
