When I was a server and people asked what to order for a more healthy pick (besides salad) I would always suggest the fish. Go for a grilled fish or if you have to sauted. Although grilled or sauted fish may be cooked in oil it's much better for you than fried. Also, grilled chicken on a salad or grilled chiken in general is a good choice.
Also, many restaurants will hold the toppings/creams/etc if you ask. So if it says grilled salmon with a cream sauce, just ask for the sauce on the side or none at all. This actually saves the cooks a step. Don't be afraid to ask! As a server I welcomed questions, that is why they are there:)
