Hi Kenneice! Your life sounds exactly like mine, but I finished my schooling a couple of years ago. I also have 3 kids and work full time and know for a fact that it's hard to make healthy choices as far as what to eat. One thing my husband and I have been doing is going to Subway in the morning and getting a sandwich and eating 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 for dinner. It's really working well surprisingly. I eat them at my desk all the time! emoticon

Betty: Me too--I like sandwiched, but get bored with them; plus I have to be very selective about breads. I am tired of salad or soup.

I need new ideas for lunch...I don't have a microwave so any leftovers need to be eaten cold...

I need healthy, but low sugar lunch ideas

Hi, Betty here - My husband and I use to eat lunch in town every day but have recently started eating more at home. I love sandwiches but my husband really don't care for them that much. Need help in making healthier lunches that are quick and easy. Looking forward to getting new ideas.

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Hi Kenneice: Welcom to SP...Hope to hear from you often. Your comment about eating lunch at your desk to avoid the gossip & bickering in the staff lunch room--that sounds like me when I was still working. I too would remove myself from the gossipers and backbiters; and the clicques. I did not want to hear their comments nor did I have anything to contribute. So I often ate at my workspace.

Where in SoCal do you live? I grew up in Inglewood (in Los Angeles County) then moved to Banning (Between Redlands & Palm Springs)--now I am in Oregon where my daughters and grandchildren live.

Welcome aboard...Chat Back when you can. You will surely find some good ideas here.

Linda

Hello Everyone,

I'm Kenneice and I am very new to SP, as well as to this group. I live in SoCal and I work full time, have 3 kids, and go to school. I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk or driving from one place to another, and need all the help I can get with making healthier lunch choices. Did I mention I eat at my desk? Yep, but in my defense (excuse) it helps me avoid all the gossip and bickering in the staff lunch room.

Anyway, I look forward to advice and ideas anyone is willing to share.

Kenneice
