That sounds great! I am so glad that it working out well for you. Yeah, it takes a little practice but once you get the routine down, you don't need the videos anymore. I find myself flip flopping between the two methods because I learned Body Flex a long time ago and it is hard sometimes to break an old method. Don't get me wrong, it works, but it will make you dizzy if you aren't used to doing it and make you cough. Once you get in the routine, you are fine, but I never had that at all with O! I like O! because you can do it anywhere, anytime. I still use my Body Flex moves on my yoga mat and I have the gymbar so I get that out too. Lately, I have let my exercises fall by the wayside and I can tell a BIG difference. Time to pull the mat out from under the bed.
I am doing Oxycise Work-out 1 and Work-out 2. I am also doing deep breathing whenever I think about it during the day....really taking deep breaths way into my lungs and then exhaling strongly on the out breath. It seems the work-outs do take a little practice. At first I felt kind of rushed with Audrey, but that does seem to be getting better. I really like the way the work-outs target different body parts the way different parts of the lungs are expanded/cleared in the different positions.
I love Oxycise! Jill Johnson is so down to earth, as is her daughter, Audrey, who is doing more videos. My husband and I do the Easy Does It series. It is slower than the standard series, so you can concentrate on form. Neither Bodyflex nor Life Lift have DVDs for seniors or disabled. I love to read the success stories on the website as well as on Amazon. People in their 90s are doing it! I credit Oxycise! with the return to normal of my lungs after I quit smoking.
What you put your focus on you will get. Think of what you DON'T want and you'll get more of it. Think only of what you DO want and that's what will come!
Me personally, I like Body Flex! I have done Oxycise and I will use that technique in the car so I don't freak out the kids, but Body Flex is my perferred method. I love the moves and I have had good luck with it in the past.
Ten years ago I lost 30 pounds in 3 months with a combination of 20 minutes of Body Flex and 30 minutes of cardio. I did not watch what I ate, I ate what I wanted to, still the weight came off. I quit doing my routine even though I know how well it works. I took it for granted I guess. Now, I have gained 80 pounds since my two girls were born. Now I am getting back on track - cant wait to shrink!
