Interesting lifestyle, MSTRUCKER58 ! When we travel, I always think about how sedentary truck driving is. But you have found great ways to fit in movement ! You are very creative and motivated. I really did not know about work-out equipment possibly being at truck stops.

When I say breathing I am talking about my routine. I love Body Flex and I do that mostly but when I have my kids in the car I do the Oxycise breath which is less noisy and gentler than Body Flex. I try to get my breaths in while I drive, if I can't do my floor exercises at home. With 2 kids on the go sometimes it gets hard to squeeze in time especially if I have to work late, so I fit it in when and where I can.

Taking a deep breath......

Wow, it sounds like you do pretty good while traveling.

I get my breathing in while I drive into work, about 10 minutes or so. I garden and try to get in a walk. Sometimes, I do a lot of walking on the job, but that all depends on what is going on.

Taking a deep breath......

I walk....alot! I usually try to get a minimum of 2 miles in a day...sometimes more.
Tonight when we got to the truck stop we were stopping at in Greensburg, IN, it was sprinkling, AGAIN and I really thought I wasn't going to get to walk.

I went in and did our laundry and when I came back out, it had quit raining and was actually quite dry out.

I walked for 3 miles and the minute I got back to our truck, it started raining again and has not stopped since.

I have a Planet Fitness membership, so sometimes I am able to go to one of the gyms around the country.

In the winter, I use my Body Flex program on the truck when I first get up, if I have a feeling I am not going to be getting a walk in, due to the weather.

Also, there is some exercise equipment (a treadmill, some exercise bikes and an Elliptical) at our trucking company yard that we are allowed to use.

Also, at some of the Petro Truck Stops and the TA Truck Stops, there are Fitness Rooms that have an exercise bike, an Elliptical and sometimes a Weight Lifting machine that uses pulleys. I usually spend an hour on the exercise bike and I MAY do the weights.

I just do what I can.

What is it like getting exercise on the road? I know I have to squeeze it in here and there, but I am not on the road like that. Sounds like a very interesting life.

Hi! My name is Linae and I am a long haul trucker with my husband.

I am on Weight Watchers and just passed my 50 lbs loss, working my way down to my goal which is 45 lbs away.

I got the Body Flex program YEARS ago, used it for a while, let it sit, and have since used it on and off since driving a truck for the last 15 years.

I just joined SparkPeople today because I found a discussion on the Body Flex Program.

Welcome to the team Lisa! I am glad you found Spark and you found our team. Not many people believe in using oxygen as a workout, but there are a few of us that know how great it works.

I am a long time Body Flexer. I learned the program when I was 19. I too get off track and take the program for granted. I think most of us do because we know how fast it works. I do a combo of Oxycise and Body Flex and it works for me. I can do O! anywhere and not make as much noise as Body flex and it is a little easier on the system.

Stay motivated. I am going to post a challenge today (no pressure) to try to keep folks on track. Feel free to post to it and if there is any challenge you would like to do let me know. We can make it happen.

Taking a deep breath......

I meant to say that if anyone else would like to, send me a friend request — or however SparkPeople works, as I'm still new to the site. I think having other people using BodyFlex — or any breathing systems — as friends would help me to stay on track. I know it works, but I worry that I may lose motivation over time.

Hello, I'm Lisa from Dundee in Scotland and I've just this passed week got back into LifeLift.

A few years back, I had tried out Oxycise, but it never did much for me. I could see there was something in it, though, somehow, and I looked around and found BodyFlex and LifeLift.

With BodyFlex, I was losing an inch each week across different areas of my body and it was really working. But I got out of the routine, didn't I?!!!!!!

I had planned this week to start with BodyFlex each day, but I've found that I don't really like the BodyFlex breaths. I was getting a sore chest with them. I've been doing BodyFlex and my LifeLift back to back but all with LifeLift breaths.

So far so good and I feel amazing compared to my usual low-energy self.

I plan to blog on a weekly basis to chart my progress. First remeasure is tonight. Wish me luck!

Welcome to the team! Me too! I have taken how well it works for granted so many times! I love love love the original workout. I wish like crazy Greer would put it on DVD! I still use it. I have the gymbar too, but I don't think it works as well as the original! I do Oxycise too, especially when I am not alone.....

Welcome to the team once again, so glad you found us!

Hi, long time Body Flex fan. Like most, I had great results with it and then life got in the way and I stopped.

As I work to lose the weight I've gained over the past 9 years, I think it's time to start breathing right again.

I love the original workout, but I also have the gym bar dvd. I just need to get started!

Hi! My name is Ann, and I am 57 years old. I've just begun breathing using the Life Lift DVDs, hoping that this exercise--combined with my daily 30 minutes on the treadmill and sensible eating--will help me lose some very much needed weight.

So yet again I'm getting back to using SparkPeople.com. I am 42 and am a yo-yo exerciser. But am back on the wagon with exercising the right way with both cardio and strength training. I will be doing the Oxycise in the car when I head off to my part time job.

I know I've gone up with the weight and have lost the bit of toning I'd managed to get. It's amazing how the abs get used with the deep breathing! Yesterday on my way home I did Oxycise. Wow, really felt the abs working. It feels good to be back on track.

Thanks goes out to Tricia for the welcome goodie!

Hi I am Kimmy. I have been on sparks for four years, oh my it seems like just yesterday..hehehe I am in and out as my time provides..I am joining this team to be on a team with Rosalieesther.. Yap that’s my ticket. Rosa is an inspiring leader and gives from her heart..I haven’t practiced LifeLift, BodyFlex, Oxycise!, Kundalini Breath of Fire, Pranayma, Kabalabahti or any other breathing exercise program, so I do not meet the suggested common interests. It is never to late to try something new..Soo I have chosen to learn Kundalini Yoga. It looks like something I would enjoy and receive wonderful benefits. I am looking at purchasing one of these dvds Kundalini Yoga for Beginners and Beyond w/Ana Brett & Ravi Singh, their client list includes Madonna, look how healthy she is..I know she does more than this to keep herself fit..But I’m just sayin..Or Kundalini Yoga to Detox and Destress with Maya Fiennes..Does anyone have any suggestions for this ol gal. Looking forward to sharing our healthy accomplishments. May we share our love for life today with joy in our hearts…SHINE ON!! emoticon

Hi everybody!
I just joined this team and have been Sparking regularly for about 7 months.
I now am currently eating intuitively as a form of maintenance (maybe another few pounds and inches??) and my exercise is Leslie Sansone, line dancing and yardwork.
I have been blogging regularly since October 1.
Yesterday I had an ah-ha moment about the importance of air...breathing.
That led me to blog about it today......."Air, the essential nutrient". Please note that the content of the blog was entered before I found this team. My realization brought me to this team, not the other way around.
I am really excited by what I read here. I am a bit of a team hopper and have accumulated quite a few teams. But I can already tell that this is going to be an important one for me!
Looking forward to finding out more about the program that you have specified!

Hi team,

time for a proper intro! emoticon
My name is Val, I'm a 36 y.o. stay-at-home-mom of 2 kids (and 2 cats emoticon ) and honestly never heard of Oxycise or the like breathing exercises but I do Kundalini yoga and 'Breath of fire' is a common breathing technique. (As Rosa knows emoticon )

I just recently started Kundalini again and love how it makes me feel, particularly the 'Breath of fire' energizes me and as I found out just a few days ago, apparently is also supposed to help with weight loss. (Which I don't really have anything to lose other than 2-3 vanity pounds, but I'd take it if BOF makes them vanish! LOL)

So that's pretty much it about me in a nutshell! I've tried finding more info and possibly videos to see how the other breathing excis work, but wasn't successful, so I guess I'll just stick to my Kundalini breathing, if you'll still have me here!? emoticon

Have a wonderful weekend! emoticon

Hi Elvie! There is a thread on the main page that says tracking body flex and someone posted that 15 minutes would burn 875???? I am not sure if that is correct or not, but if you cut it in half, you would probably be safe. If you do it right, it is quite a workout.

Glad that you are with us! Keep us informed in how you are doing. We love to hear from our team mates!

Hi I'm Elvie and I am 44 years. I first discovered deep breathing 13 years ago with Body Flex. The breathing didn't quite gel with me. I did lose inches. I tried Oxycise on and off and I think I lost inches not sure. I am going to try Oxycise with the daughter and see how that goes. HOw many calories do we burn doing Oxycise does anyone know? Thank you. emoticon

Hi! My name is Paulette. I am 62 years old and I know I have a problem with shallow breathing . I don't know anything about Oxycise, but it sounded like something I needed when I was looking at books a few days ago at our Senior rummage sale.I bought the book and just started reading it yesterday. Hope it will help me.

Hello,

My name is Julie. I'm 56 years old, an elementary school teacher and a shepherd with a small flock of sheep raised for hand spinners. Recently I had to take a FMLA due to a complete relapse of my health. I had terrible vertigo and migraine headaches. Alas when I didn't return to my job within a month, they fired me.

I used to do Oxycise regularly about 10 years ago. I had been fairly fit and I loved how I felt. My physical therapist is working with muscles in my neck down through my shoulder and arm that have become very weak and painful. She said to me a week or so back, "you're not breathing enough, you need to take cleansing breaths through out the day and work on your posture. Wow! I remembered Oxycise. I know this will help me. I don't know anything about Life Lift or Body Flex. I am planning to look into them and also get a new Oxycise DVD. Along with walking I am determined to make a come back.
