hi and thank you for your reply. I am going to the doctor on Thursday, I just want someone to validate what I am feeling because it's driving me crazy! I feel like if I know for sure that is what is going on with me it will let me move forward.

Hi Every woman is different. Yes, I would consult the Doctor and tell them what you feel your body is going through too. My Doctor says about 8 Months ago, I JUST started going through Menopause, LOL But I say, I am over it ALL now and so does my DH. I havnt had a Monthly in over a year now and the year before I hadn't had but 1. I went through the sweats since I was age 38, am now 49. I had the mood swings unbeknowance to me of course LOL, since then too. Sounds to me like you COULD be at the start of Menopause, but I am no Doctor. Go with what YOU feel.
When somthing is of God, NOTHING can stop it. Amen..
I am nothing without God.

As for your symptoms, you should ask your doctor to give you a FSH test, that will test your hormone levels and tell you for sure if you are starting menopause. I was going through a lot of those symptoms but it wasn't until I was given the test that my gyno told me for sure I was starting. Request the test, once you start skipping periods and you are not under some type of stress and taking medication that might affect your cycle, I would say you are starting the change.

HI, my name is melissa and I am 43 and trying to lose about 18 pounds. I am only 5' tall(or short) and somehow have started to balloon outward. I am a happily married Christian woman with 16 and 19 year old sons who need less of my time these days so I am ready to get back into shape and feel good again. I do have a question, I am wondering if I am entering perimenopause as I I seem to have all the symptoms, but my doc says no. My midsection just keeps growing, I have 0 energy and cant survive the day without a nap. My moods are up and down, although they always have been really, I don't sleep well and now I have missed a period. On top of gaining all this weight. It is a vicious cycle, all working against my weight loss goal. I was always in good shape and looked younger than my age, but I see my age now and I see more of me in the mirror and I just don't feel real good about any of it. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! MDV
