Hi, I'm 46, and beginning my journey to lose 120 lbs. I tried to start in January, as so many do with New Years resolutions. Obviously I did not succeed. Perhaps I was not fully ready to commit. Well I'm READY now! I hope to find strength and inspiration in a group of women with a common struggle and goal. I've been going through empty nest syndrome of sorts. Divorced now, and my only daughter has started her own family. I finally have the time, and schedule flexibility to regain my health, and vitality. So here I go.......full throttle. My renewed purpose will be ME!

Hi! I am 44 and trying to lose another 10 lbs. It seems that my body just doesn't want to let go of it!! I heard it was harder to lose weight in your 40's and now I truly believe it! I am looking foward to hearing from others like me and learning what I can do. I also have fibromyalgia and it does affect how I exercise. Hope to hear from you. Smiles, Taloulah
Hello, I just joined this team and already encouraged that you share my struggle of finding it so much harder now to shift the weight. My 'baby' just turned 4 and I can NOT seem to lose the last 10-15 pounds...aaaarrggghhh...I started exercising regularly at the beginning of the year and I've toned up but no weight loss...STUCK at the same weight... blessings to you all and i look forward to getting to know you!
Hi all... am new to this team... soon to be 46 (in a week or so..)and have about 10 pounds to lose that absolutely don't want to come off... sigh.. it's been a roller coaster but I'm determined.. good luck to all.. am looking forward to hearing other people's stories and ideas...

Hi, I am new to sparks and really enjoy the website. I too find it very hard to lose the weight as I get older. I am 41,5'4" and weigh 189. I hope that sparks will help me get on the right track. Peggy

My name is Robin. I'm 47. It's true what they say about the older you get the harder it is to lose weight. Once upon a time I could drop 5-10 pounds in no time (back when I just thought I was fat). I'm 5'2" and weigh 200 pounds. Never in my life have I been this huge, not even when I was pregnant. I joined SP back in January. I find it helpful to get on the site and read the forums. It helps just knowing that I'm not the only one going through this. I'd love to have some buddies...
