My big obsession right now is walking while watching tv. So if there is a show I like that is an hour I will walk around the house during that time or when helping with homework.

I get my steps in for the day and I am moving instead of being a couch potato.

I enjoy walking myself. That's how I lost 40lbs 2 years ago....which I need to lose again because I stopped working out.

Welcome. Walking is the one exercise that people who are successful at losing and keeping off weight do. You can do it all your life. There are some other teams that walk across the US that you might enjoy.

Incentive is everything.

Hey...don't let the chilly weather hold you back! I love to walk with a destination...be it the store, coffee with a friend, or the bus to work. Bundle up in layers, mittens, scarf and good traction shoes and hit the snowy sidewalks always being aware of frostbite and your own limitations. I particularly love how beautiful and quiet my neighborhood is when it is shrouded in snow in the morning. Today in my part of the Rockies it will be staying in the single digits.

Hello All!

I am new to this post and this is my first post and I am a walkaholic! I do strength training, but I walk/jog 30-45 mins on my treadmill 6 days a week. Once I fall off the wagon and get back on, walking is where I begin. It has helped me achieve results and I enjoy doing it. Hopefully I can read up on what others are doing while they walk. Once it warms up here, I will be walking my subdivision. Good luck everyone!emoticon
