4 Noble Truths
1. Suffering is a part of life
2. Suffering is caused by our attachments and avoidances.
3. Suffering can be ended.
4. Freedom from suffering is possible by following the Eightfold path.
Bigotry disguised as morality is still bigotry just as an outhouse with
marble columns is still an outhouse.

Hi and welcome
I know what you mean about your husband - mine's the same. He's just had to go and get his wedding ring resized - it's too tight!
Hopefully my progress will help to inspire him (shrugs shoulders)
Have a super weekend :-)
Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)
The fourth glass of wine is always a good idea before you do it and a really bad idea afterward! ;-)
It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.
RIGHT ON to your company....I only hope and PRAY the new company my daughter works for will come up with a plan like that. She is 39 and I am sure over 300 lbs., and SHE is on her bum all day now....and has NEVER been one to walk or doing ANY exercise.
MY NEW saying: (borrowed from Delila)
"If you want to do something, you'll find a way, if you don't, you'll find an excuse."
Hi - I was horrible at getting in exercise. I had a nurse practioner that recommended that I walk 5 minutes a day, but everyday. I thought she was crazy, but what she was trying to do was get me to get in the habit of including exercise. So, my suggestion is to start out small and build from there. I walk 30-45 minutes a day now and am enjoying it.

Welcome. You can do this. It is up to you in the end anyway. Park farther away, walk during lunch, pack your own lunch and snacks, and drink your water. Tracking your intake and activity helps you stay on track.
I wear a pedometer so I can stay on target each day with my activity.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
You will never "find" time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.
I wish you well on your journey some days the road will be tough but we'll help you through anyway we can. I'm 40 and have lost 19lbs since May so I to am working on my journey. Again Good luck
I'm 45 yrs old and I have been working a desk job for over 15 yrs. I sit on my butt for 8 hours a day....that's not good. The company I work for just participated in the Global corporate challenge which really has inspired me to get healthy. This is something I MUST do!!
I hope this site helps me meet my goals. I'm looking to meet people my age, my spouse is totally not interested in getting healthy so I welcome any and all to help me!!1
