Great!! This is my first walk like this. I've done the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - a 39 mile walk in 2 days through Chicago - for two years now, but not a walk designed to chew through this many miles, but purposely spread out in a reasonable amount of time.
I chose to start from my home and walk somewhere that was still within a reasonable driving distance so my hubby and I can take a road trip to that place when I'm done. It's an area I've never been - and as a bonus, there are a cluster of wineries there!
I got on various city/county/state websites/tourism boards/etc. and ordered visitors guides, and have mapped out my route page by page and mile by mile to keep myself motivated. That's just the way I did it.
You certainly do not need to go to the efforts I have! It's just a project to keep me going.
Are you just walking for fitness or doing a virtual walk? How many miles do you average at one time? Per week?
