we are so glad to have you here. I live in Indianapolis and I know the hot and humid thingy. Loaded my i-phone with great up beat music (i Love shaggy, but of course he is not every ones cup of tea), and start walking. My machine is in the basement and I can sing, run, walk and make a fool of myself and no one can see it and the time just flies by. Find your groove, find what makes you happy. Good Luck! We know you can do it, do not let that *obesity thing* get any closer!

I've been on and off of Spark a couple times, plus I did weight watchers 2 years ago. I just went to the Dr's and he said my BMI was one point away from Obese. That put me into action. I knew I had gained some weight, but my picture of obese is A LOT bigger than myself!! So obviously, I was shocked by that news.
I'm a 32 year old veterinarian, and work for the USDA. I spend a lot of time on my butt at a desk, in a car, or on an airplane. I'm determined to lose at least 30 lbs through changing what I eat and exercise.
My husband and I are pretty good about cooking at home, as we live in a rural area and going out means bar food, or traveling further than we'd want on a usual basis. It's just that we need to cook better things.
I also need to USE that treadmill I bought!! It's hot and muggy here, so inside is easier, just more boring. However, I just did the Avon 39 mi walk in Chicago and I'm ready to keep moving!!
