How wonderful that you have joined the team. Please continue to ask questions as they arise. When I first found SparkPeople, I started out by making my SparkPage. It was fun and made me feel like I was a "part of". The next thing I did was start recording the foods I ate on the Nutrition Tracker. Welcome aboard!

From my experience I have to agree start slowly. Start off with small goals and eventually they will turn themselves into the big goals.

Like for example. My goal is to be in a size 12/13 by end of May.
I am almost there. I can get them over my hips now but no button and zipper. So its working.

You will get there and I wish you the best of luck and I have found if you need to chat and get advice and help this is a great place to come to. The blogs and the help from other Sparkers really do help.

Hi Josie,
This is my advice: follow the steps given by spark people, start little by little (drinking ALL your glasses of water for example), and be constant with exercise. Forget about dieting, the only thing that REALLY works is changing bad eating habits into good eating habits. Eat healthy food 5 times a day. And use the word 'I'. Think positive.

hi My name is Josie and I am trying to loose weight I now weigh 244 my goal is 194. i am 5'3 my weight should be 130 -140 all this weight has cause me a lot problem (medical) so any help would be great. emoticon
