It is really hard to eat out unless it is a place you can check online.

Weekends are also my biggest challenge. We tend to go out for most meals on Saturday and after work on Friday night. Last night I found a great soup at a restaurant - not what I would have ordered in the past, but I actually loved it. Soft Tofu Soup at a Korean restaurant. I am not 100% sure what was in the broth, but it was a clear broth so I think it was ok. Restaurant eating is difficult for sure.

Wonderful suggestions! I made lots of dill pickles this past summer. They'll give me the crunch and salt fix I'm craving. Thanks so much!

Thank you. The roasted chickpeas sound like something that I'd like to snack on. I will check out the other suggestions also.

Congrats on the weight loss so far! We have all kind of options on phase 1 for a snack. You can do roasted chickpeas, hummus with veggies, make turkey pepperoni "chips" with a wedge of laughing cow cheese, sugar free fudgecicle, yogurt, rollups...to name a couple. What I would suggest though is to look at the "mindless" snacking which many of us get into the habit of doing while watching tv. It's very easy to pound thru whatever we are eating while not paying any attention.

You may want to look at the phase 1 recipe thread (it's stickied) for some more ideas.

I'm on Day 6 of phase 1 and am proud to say that I've dropped 4.6 lbs as of this morning. My struggle is what to snack on in the evenings. Weekend nights I usually spend some relaxation time in front of the tv. Any suggestions?
