I think phase 1 South Beach would be more like this:
breakfast: 2 eggs, poached, with mushrooms & bell peppers, v-8 and/or skim milk with coffee/tea
snack: lowfat, plain yogurt with vanilla flavoring & artificial sweetener
lunch: 3 chicken thighs, green salad with tomatoes & beans, olive oil & vinagar, skim milk
snack: lowfat cheese w/ celery
dinner: fish & green beans, green salad with almond slivers, olive oil & vinagar
snack: lowfat ricotta cheese with flavorings
Hope others chime in, but we eat lots of vegetables on the Beach, and it is my understanding that the types of fats found in pepperoni and sausage are to be avoided.
