I was diagnosed after 3 miscarriages. I read up some at that point but after having a healthy baby and then 2 more miscarriages, I started reading all the info I could find. For me, reducing my weight and cutting sugar from my diet are the hardest and yet most effective things I can do. Age is working against me as I am now 36. I wish so much that I had know 10 years ago what I know now!

I had a similar situation. I haven't had a regular cycle ever in my life and had problems with cysts and my weight since puberty. I wasn't properly diagnosed till I was 26 and I had never heard of PCOS before. I was put on the pill when I was 12 and that only screwed me up even more.
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism last year, but I had a gut feeling that it was PCOS (both or instead.. that's still unclear). I've pretty much had cysts since I was 14. Instead of being diagnosed, the doc just put me on the pill. Things cleared up, but now at almost 24, I said, "Wait a minute, I should be DIAGNOSED so if other problems arise - insulin resistance or infertility - it can be addressed properly!" Sooo, after a little bit of fight and stubbornness, I have been diagnosed. Bittersweet. Anyhow, HELLLLLLO everyone :D
