It does take awhile, and there still will be adjustments.

I did do pretty good on the synthroid for a bit but then i just was still miserable, My dr put me on Armour about 10 weeks ago. It has been great.

Give it time.

Welcome Gina! It is frustrating. I've learned to accept that I've got to work harder to get the lbs off & how fast they come back on. It's gotten easier over the years and I'm one fit Grandma!

Live each moment to its fullest!

Hi Gina

It can take up to 6 weeks before the meds fully kick in.
Losing weight may still be harder, but not impossible. Just keep working at it.
Don't be too hard on yourself, eventually You'll get there.
Much SUCCESS!

Hello. My name is Gina and I am new to the team. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 3 weeks ago and have been on my meds for 2 weeks. I am wondering how long it will take for it to start working. I also have been struggling to lose weight for months now and have lost nothing. It's extremely frustrating to eat like a bird, exercise like crazy and not lose any weight. So I am happy for any advice that you have. I am 38 years old, 5ft tall and weigh 160lbs right now. I would like to lose 40 lbs, maybe more.

Gina
