Welcome! We have a conversation on another post about taking our synthroid at night. You might be interested. Someone sparked me to try it, and I had surprising results. Slept well, woke up refreshed, thus having energy and I lost 5 pounds right away. Once we get our energy level back up, exercise is probably going to be the key. Several others reported similar results. Just an idea! Have fun! ~Susan
And we all lived happily ever after...
Life. It's Worth Living. It's Worth Giving. Choose Life.
Hi! I was checking my email and came across this team. It's nice to have a team that understands how my thyroid is messing things up for me. My name is Ginny. I live in a little town just east of Springfield, MO. We have a small farm, 5 cows, 14 horses, 4 dogs, 6 chickens, ? cats and counting, and off and on we have hogs. I love it in the country!!
In the last 6 years or so, I've gained about 10 pounds. I know that's not much, but I also stopped exercising (except for riding horses), and so I lost a lot of muscle. I'm 5'1", so 10 pounds is a lot for me to carry around.
Obesity runs in my family, so I've been very conscious of my weight. I lost 25 lbs after I quit having kids and kept it off for about 10 years, and then we moved here, and I don't know what happened, but I kinda fell off the wagon and got off the trail, and ended up on another planet! LOL About the same time I found out my thyroid was out of whack, so that may have contributed to it. I'm on synthroid and getting it adjusted because it's acting up again, and needing to lose about 11 more pounds. or so. I'd be happy to lose inches and not 11 pounds, whatever. I just want to be able to wear my clothes! I refuse to go out and buy big clothes!
Here's to losing inches and getting my thyroid fixed!!!
