Hi, I'm new and have been a sparks member for a long time. I'm so tired of losing the same weight over and over but this time I'm determined will be different. I think I finally get it--it's a lifestyle not a diet. I've heard the expression dozens of times but getting it in the head is the real issue. So I changed my focus this time around. One new accomplishment is I joined a summer challenge tomorrow begins week 10 of 10 and I've never been so active during the summer. I hate the heat and usually shut totally down but not this time--and that's major and I'm proud!!! For that committment there are a couple of rewards: one is I've lost several pounds and inches and I don't have to start over once fall arrives (for once) in a long time!!!

Thanks for the welcome to the team. I think enjoying the journey of staying fit is a great place to start. Can't believe I didn't find this team earlier. First thing I'd mention to sticking with it in the long haul is to remember that no matter where you are now you can do this (even after a break) just start again. Sparkpeople is full of encouragement.
