Hi--I'm Jan and very "new" .............. emoticon
(At least here) ......... Recently joined SP and am looking forward to meeting new people and sharing ideas.
Hope it's OK to address ANGIE right off ............ I read and re-read your post. One very strong thing you have going is your YOUTH ............ That is when the big engine of your body known as 'metabolism' is reved the highest (or can be) .......... Metabolism slows with age and it won't be hard to for you to 'kick in' .............. You also said you are looking for fun ways to exercise ............ That is so important to keep it fun and avoid the drudgery of routine workouts which end up in boredom. I wonder if you like Zumba for one? I have been doing and it is so fun and a variation from my 'usual' workouts. Also ......... plan some fun activities w/ your youth group? ......... some hiking w/ spring here now? Just a thought .............. Hope to get to know you all .................... Hi everyone,
My name is Angie and I'm from the Massachussets. I have joined this team in hopes of getting fun back into weight loss and fitness. A couple of years ago when was in my early teens I was obese and found a way through eating right and exercising and lost about 70lbs and was in the best shape of my life until in 2009 when my health went south. I have now gained about 35lbs and it hasn't budged no matter my efforts (or lack there of). And to make matter worse I'm the leader of a health and fitness group and my church and for about 2 years now instead of people losing weight they have either maintained an unhealthy weight or gained some. So I'm not feeling very motivated and I want it back so I can help myself and the people of the my health group. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon
