Hi, my name is Nancy, I am a wife a mother and grandmother. I have been battling with my weight and exercise for years. I have joined the y. I take Zumba classes, walk 10,000 steps a day. Try to lift weights a couple times a week. But I am getting tired of the same old routine. Hoping to learn some new ways to exercise.

Hello, My name is Rachael. I've been "kind of" a member here for 7 years, if not more. Is that even possible? I've finally reached my breaking point. I can't stand another day of not taking care of myself!! I've raised 4 kids and devoted my life to them and not taken my health and body seriously. My time has come. I had a 2 year stretch of depression and high stress. Now I'm in a new state, both of mind and living(literally we moved to FL.) I watched and allowed 50 pounds of extra fat accumulate on my body...now seeing it just makes me want to scream..but that won't help. I started thinking about turning my life around in March of 2010. Thinking turned into convincing myself, convincing turned into waiting for myself to stop making excuses...somewhere along the line(maybe November '10) something clicked but I was still making excuses. Mid December I realized I wanted to change and I was the only one who was going to do it. January I started walking. I stopped being lazy with my car and started walking the kids do the bus stop. there's 2 miles. I walk with my sister in law M-F for an hour before the kids get off the bus There's at least 4 miles and we as a family walk at night after dinner. That's 2 miles. I know cardio isn't enough so 2 days ago, 2 of the 4 kids and I did our first strength routine here from Sparkpeople. I am a beautiful thing and worth every step and effort I put forward!!!! Sooooo YaY!!!
