Welcome to the team! You have done great so far, keep it up, and you'll hit your goals in no time!
The words "I can't" are like a cancerous disease...they eat at you until there is nothing left to consume. By saying "I can't" you are killing yourself before even giving yourself so much as a chance to live. I WILL push forward, I WILL dig deep, and I WILL succeed at achieving my goals. Thus, I WILL live on!
Hello! I have tried the running thing, and I was really into my program ( I did Couch to 5k) then started having knee trouble and ultimately decided that I was proud of how far I have come, but that I didn't necessarily want to be a runner, I never truly enjoyed it. It was more about reaching the next goal for me. I still keep some running into my weekly routine, but not nearly as much. Keep up the hard work!
"It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power." -Alan Cohen
Hi there! My name is Stephanie and I'm 23 and happily married with no children yet. I've been a member of SP for about a year and a half now. I plateau a lot, but I've managed to lose about 30 pounds and keep it off. That's almost halfway to my "soft" weight loss goal (I'd maybe like to go a little further, but I know where I'd at least be happy at).
Recently (as in the last week or so recently) I've been really throwing myself into my running program and strength training workouts. I've always loved going on walks and have thought to myself how amazing it'd be to actually be in shape enough to be a runner. I've decided to stop putting it off (it was a damn cold winter, huh?!) and finally start training. I knew I could do it because last year I had managed to run a mile to completion for the first time in my life. I was really sporadic with SP because I had to work a lot, from previously being a housewife, but I tried to do the best I could for those 8 months and I at least maintained my (at the time) 20 pound weight loss. Now I use Nike Plus to coach me and set running goals and challenges for myself, and I'm absolutely addicted!
I love cooking, reading, running, and gaming, and I'd always love to have more sparkfriends! I wish you all the best of luck with your goals! Steph
