Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Yeah, Insanity is definitely a challenging workout. I guess that's why they recommend wearing a heart rate monitor!

I have definitely been careful not to overdo it. I have really gotten to know my body through this workout, so I do when I have reached my peak. That's when I'll take a quick break, drink some water, do a quick stretch and get right back into it.

The whole intention with the Insanity workout is to go as hard as you can all the time. You take breaks when you need them, and then you keep going. It's one of those workouts where - no matter how much tolerance you build - you can never get used to it.

Again, thank you all for the welcome, and it is a pleasure to be here!

Well you sound like you really have something going with the exercises. I can't say that I have that stamina to go all out but what I do has made a difference. Spark will help you in what ever area you may need. Welcome to the team.

How's everyone doing?! My name is Jorge, and I have been on Spark People for a little over a month, which is also how long I have been actively engaged in my workout.

I have to start out by saying that I never thought I would be this motivated about anything as far as health and fitness are concerned. I have always looked for excuses to avoid lifting weights or doing any cardio. This isn't to say that I am completely out of shape; I just didn't have the right motivation to push me forward.

So, I finally mustered up the courage a little more than a month ago to go about my pursuit of a healthier lifestyle the only way I knew how: finding the toughest and most intense workout on the market. Now, I don't know if this is the toughest, but it is the toughest one I came by: Insanity.

The Insanity workout has worn me out from day one. Even the Recovery Week - which I am almost at the end of - has been quite the challenge. I recently came to the conclusion that all the work I have done to this point has only been preparation...month two is an absolute beast. Those workouts look absolutely nuts! I know, from the looks of it I am coming off as the antithesis of what your team is all about.

While this workout has been challenging on so many levels, I am having the absolute time of my life! I have never been in a position where I wake up looking forward to working out so much. I have recently decided to incorporate some weight training while I am at work, too. I can definitely say that working out and changing my food choices has changed me over night...literally! I drank caffeinated beverages as though they were water. As a matter of fact, I frequently went days - sometimes weeks - without taking so much as a sip from a water bottle. All that changed when I started this routine.

If you want to know more about my progress, feel free to check out my spark page. Also, I have a blog set up separate from this site. You all are more than welcome to check it out. I try to update it once or twice per week. The link to that is: insane-with-insanity.blogspot.com/

I look forward to getting to know all of you! Take care, and always remember to DIG DEEP!
