I do a lot of walking (early mornings and evenings work well when it's too hot and humid). I have also set up an area in my basement with a stationary bike, gazelle and weights, along with a TV and DVD player (music videos and concerts are great to exercise to). It's usually cooler down there and works great during our Minnesota winters when it's too cold or icy.

We love the Wii when the weather is too hot or too cold.

Hi Donna,
A real good way to exercise in the summer heat is at a pool. It is very easy on your joints in you body(very low impact), and actually burns lots of calories if you do laps! I can't wait to get back in the pool!

Welcome to the team, Donna!

Having a buddy makes exercise more fun. You have someone to share the experience with and challenge one another. Another tip is to find a fitness routine that is exciting - something like zumba or jazzercise that changes movements on a regular schedule. It's hard for me to get bored with Jazzercise!

Hello my name is Donna. I am generally new to this team and just got around to saying hello. Can any one tell me how to have fun while exercising. I am having trouble keeping my interst in the exercise bit because i am having trouble finding new ways to have fun. The heat and humidity have put a bit of a damper on what i can do, where, and how much of it i can do. I want to move more but can't if i am constantly visiting the toilet. Please help me stay moving. lots of love
