Ok, I understand the belly part a lot. I am now smaller than the last time I lost weight and the belly is still there. I have had major surgery of 18" up and down so I think the muscles are not allowing the work to show results as fast. I also believe that the body doesn't want to let it go. Yes it is smaller after the 40 lb loss but still there. The thighs are not bad with the help of the Wii Fit. I have a ball but have not started using it. Good suggestion to try it.
Have you tried pilates, they work to make your legs longer and leaner. I have lost 2 inches in my legs and now I can where skinny jeans. I also do chair leg lifts and crunches on the stabitlity ball. Good luck and welcome to stayin fit.

thnx to all of you for the responses you have given me and all the great ideas. i have an exercise ball and i use to do crunches on it i don't even know why i stopped. thnx for renewing the though and thnx for all additional ideas i will definitly try them. have a great day
I have the same issues. I am never satisfied with my belly, but I have found some success with always, always, always engaging my core and any exercise that allows you to work both the obliques and the center abdominal muscles.
I got really fast (and when I say I fast I mean a month) results doing pendulums while holding a stability balls between my feet and ankles and squats with a crossover knee lift.
Unfortunately you can't control where the fat comes off from and when. All you can do is tone the muscles underneath (crunches, etc). Eventually your body will take the fat from all areas, but maybe not from the places you want right away.

I have had 2 c-sections, and 3 abdominal surgeries (1 through the belly button, 2 cut across like c-sections)...I do alot of crunches while on a large exercise ball. they don't feel like they are working at first,but they seemed to be more effective than the lying on the floor type. I also have done some pilates in the past and I think it seems to help. I am still a work in prgoress, but thats what I do for the belly area. Make sure you are eating correctly and walk walk walk.......it takes time...TRUST ME...it works slowly, but it seems to work.
Hello my name is Donn and i am new to this particular group. sorry about not introducing myself earlier. i need help and badly. it seems i am doing a lot of exercising and i am seeing my waist shrink but not my thighs or my belly!!! i have had 3 c-sections and was told that it was going to be a lot harder for me to tone my belly back up. i have tried almost everything to try to loose it and my thighs but it only seems like my thighs are only getting bigger and my belly stays wiggly. any suggestions plz, plz, plz?????
