- I'm 50 and I had lap band surgery. I've lost 40 lbs. so far. I'm starting to look pretty good and I feel a lot better. I still have 30 lbs to go to reach my goal. I go the gym 2-3 times a week, but would rather be doing other fun stuff, so I thought I would check you guys out. I live in rainy northern California, and sometimes outdoors is not the best option, but I do love to be out and we have the most amazing rivers, ocean beaches and forests here so there is no excuse to not do fun stuff.
What kind of fun stuff do you guys do? I mostly like to walk and hike, but sometimes I ride my mountain bike or kayak (really, I've only kayaked a couple of times). I love warm water and my dream is to retire in a place where I can be in the warm ocean every day.
Life is short -- slow down. Why race to the end?
