Hello fellow Sparklers - I'm new here and pretty new to Spark People. Just taking the first few steps towards my new body and attitude to eating, shopping and cooking. Oh yeah, I forgot and exercise (vital component to shedding my extra blubber). Looking forward to walking up the street without thinking an angry crowd is following me...only to realize that it's my own b-hind shaking like crazy!! Here goes to the new me.
The pic is me on the beach sunning myself. You'll notice I have no breasts, belly button or privates - yep it's true "you are what you eat"...I obviously eat a lot of yellow M&M's. lol

Oh P.S. I don't go to the gym anymore - I use Wii Fit and walk a lot..I don't own a car (and don't know how to hotwire one) so I'm definitely a pedestrian. I have a physical job as a gardener in a local school. So this is where I get the majority of my exercise. I live in NZ so when you're all asleep in USA I'll be busy moving about. Have a great day as I have a peaceful night.

I DO THE GYM, CURVES, AND HOME.....YOU HAVE SOME REALLY GOOD DVD'S JUST SET THE TIME PUT IT IN...AT THE GYM AND CURVES I CAN TALK TO FRIENDS AS WE EXERCISE...DIDN'T KNOW CURVES WAS IN THE FIFTIES STATES OR SHOULD SAY ALL OF THEM BUT BET THEY ARE FOR I KNOW THEY ARE IN NEW ZEALAND.... emoticon

Hi - I'm vicki and I really need to get fit. I have been sedentary for a long time due to a disability that doesn't let me do walking or other exercises that require that. I know I still can get fit with upper body exercises, and standing exercises I can do while holding on to my walker.

Is this the right team for me to join? Anybody else in the same or similar boat?

I don't get out to gym either but have had some succuess in excerising outside the home by walking roughly 3 miles aday.

I have to try and get some. I dont get out to the gym at all. I got a membership before and never used it (hubby wasnt so happy). I need to find things that I can do at home and be motivated.

I really like the Leslie Sansone dvd's and she has such a variety of them. I have several that use a slanted step which is better on my knees than a regular step. I've ordered a new dance dvd and haven't tried that yet (it was from Prevention). I get tired of the treadmill even with music so the dvd's are a nice change.

Hi everyone, I am new to this SP page - a little about me: I'm from Fl and do the Curves circuit, walk the neighborhood, treadmill, dance dvd and Leslie Sansone dvds. I prefer exercising with a friend but will do it alone too. I need to get started again with my routine, got out of the swing through the holidays. Happy New Year emoticon emoticon emoticon
