Hi, Emily from NH here. I'm a teacher's aide so have a schedule similar to yours. It's hard to carve out extra time during the school year. I have been involved with Jazzercise for 16 years and make the time to get to 3 or 4 classes a week throughout the school year.
This year the principal of our school has made fitness a priority for the staff. She has brought in a trainer to offer a 40-minute workout twice a week, after school. The program is voluntary, and each teacher has to pay her own fees for the class, but it's a great way to get in some extra exercise without having to pack up and get to a gym. One of my goals is to fit in smaller bursts of exercise during the day especially when Mom's Taxi Service is in full swing. My husband and I enjoy taking walks together but our 19 degree weather has taken away our motivation to be outside.
Hi. My name is Peggie and through a Best of Spark e-mail this morning, I heard of this team. I would like to join you. Although I would like to lose some weight, my main concern is fitness. In past years I've worked on my diet (to some degree), but essentially neglected exercise. It shows. I love to walk, ride my bike, and use exercise games on the Wii. All these things take a back seat, however, during the school year as I am a teacher. I am hoping this team will help me stay active throughout the winter and spring months, and beyond. Thanks.
