I agree with all who have suggested taking it one step at a time through the site; and especially agree with starting by using the nutrition tracker. It is one of the best tools and has been key to the success I have had so far. Also, whenever you need support or motivation there is always someone here to give it to you. SP members are second-to-none.

I totally know how u feel. It took me weeks to get comfy with the whole site. I think what helped me a lot is going to "My Spark Points" ( Its the second last tab under my tools of u r on the start page ) and that page has links to like over 20 different things that you can do on the site. It is very large and can be overwhelming for a newcomer. I found that concentrating on one thing (and becoming good at it) helped me to gain confidence. I started with the Nutrition Tracker - It's a real eye-opener when you make an effort to track everything you eat!
Once you feel comfortable with one aspect, start to explore the site and add more tasks to your daily routine.
