Thank you so much everyone!!!it's great to know that I am not the only one who gets bored so easily...I have tried some of the things you advised, swimming, just started a yoga class that I'm loving and I'll try some dancing too. The reason why I get bored at the gym is because usually I go out for my runs, walks and biking, but it's been so hot these weeks and I can't stand it, so I can't wait for it to cool down...I think I'll be ok...thank you again for your support

Welcome to the team! The Quick Fire Challenge team is really great! I do those daily challenges (almost every day) along with other workouts. I get bored really easily, so I have tons of different dvds to exercise with at home. I also go to different classes at the gym. I don't know if you take the classes or just use the machines, but doing the other from what you usually do might get you inspired again. One of the things I just started is a run/walk training program (Spark Your Way to a 5K or 10K). It's so nice to get out in the mornings with my mp3 player & just myself to challenge myself. Hang in there, try a lot of new things until you find something fun, & don't give up! You can do this!

We are here for you to the team. I have many different dvds and weight and stepper and bike. So I mix things up all the time if I do the same work out more than twice a week I am bored and want to try other exercises, So I joined Quick fire Challenge it keeps me motivated and on track because I have to say wether or not I did the exercise. and to a great team. Have you given any thought to water exercises. You can actually burn more calories in the water exercising than land exercises. Check with your Y and see what they may have to offer. Glad to have you with us and I want to wish you much success on your weight loss journey.

Wow, love your post NOCALORIES! I agree. I do a workout in my office stairwell at lunchtime. I know it sounds crazy, but it works, I've dropped 12 pounds since June 15th and feeling better about myself! I throw in weights, dance steps, jumping jacks, crunches and little challenges on going the full 8 flights bottom to top. I make excuses to take the dogs for walks, to get on my sister in law's elliptical machine.. oh and to jump rope. Soo.. best of luck.. you can find the fun!

I also say TRY ZUMBA, unless you HATE to dance. :) I had trouble going to the gym for more than 2 weeks consistently until I found Zumba. Now it's been almost a year since I started and I haven't missed more than a few days at a time! (and that was because I HAD to, I'm always excited to go to Zumba again!)

I workout at home using workout DVDs, the exercises and workout videos here on SP and just getting out and walking or biking. I also take a Zumba class once a week at a local dance studio. There's plenty you can do to change up your workout and make it fun and interesting without having to spend time at a gym.

Hi sparkpeople! I just found this team while I was trying to find out why I am having trouble keeping focused on my goals during this week, I have been exercising and trying to eat well, and I know I've have done it well, but I feel kind of discouraged for some reason. I am going to the gym now, and seriously feel kind of fed up with it. So I think it's because I am not having fun anymore. I would like to find alternatives to keep enjoying my road to success. I know it's not always easy, but I am used to accept challenges and I know I can do it if I have the right motivation and support...so thanks for reading and some advice would be greatly appreciated...
